This type is beneficial when you want to insulate your door and window frames and cut off that last bit of air exchange with the outside. If you already have a skirt then I would recommend adding a better belly wrap or ground covering (using a ‘poly’material) over anything else. The ground barrier combined with a vapor barrier will protect your mobile home from moisture. But most people are more familiar with R-value, which is the opposite of U-value, and a measure of the resistance of a substance to thermal transmission.
